This 24-hour "Storm the Road: Hackathon for Safety" looks to merge weather and maps APIs for safety. It's all a part of the Google Maps team's 10th anniversary Code the Road tour that launched at Google I/O this week.

Eligibility
We invite developers or product managers - including students - who build for iOS, Android or web to come and hack. Come with a team, or we'll team you up at the event.
Requirements
Your mission, if you choose to accept it...create a new app or feature for mobile or web that helps keep the public safe and informed. Bring together maps and weather, two topics consumers seek while on the go, planning their safety preparation, or in times of disaster.
